Fuel Evaporation Bimetallic Vacuum Switching Valve (BVSV)

  1. Remove vacuum hoses from BVSV, located on intake manifold. With engine temperature less than 95°F (35°C), blow into BVSV. No air should pass through valve.
  2. With engine temperature greater than 122°F (50°C), blow into BVSV. Air should pass through BVSV. Replace BVSV if defective.
