Metro & Prizm

  1. Disconnect vacuum hose and connector from VSV. Check air continuity by applying battery voltage to valve terminals. See Fig 1 . Air should flow in one direction only.
  2. Check continuity between VSV body and each terminal. Continuity should not be present. Check continuity between connector terminals. Continuity should be present. Replace vacuum switching valve if continuity is not as specified.
