Fuel Evaporation Bimetallic Vacuum Switching Valve (BVSV)

  1. Remove vacuum hose from BVSV, located on intake manifold. With engine cold, blow into BVSV. Air should pass through valve.
  2. With engine temperature greater than 140°F (60°C), blow into valve. No air should pass. Replace BVSV if defective.
