3RD Clutch, Planetary Carrier, Reaction Sun Gear & Low Band

Remove inside selector lever and parking lock actuator rod from transmission case. Lift out 3rd clutch assembly and input shaft. Remove planetary carrier and output shaft by sliding out.
NOTE: Care should be taken not to lose the 2 thrust bearings and one thrust washer from planetary carrier assembly.
Pull reaction sun gear and drum straight out of case. Remove thrust bearing from rear of transmission case. Remove low band by slightly compressing band and pulling straight out. If necessary, remove transmission case vent.

NOTE: If transmission case vent is removed, a new vent must be installed. DO NOT attempt to reinstall old vent.
