Valve Seat (DOHC)

  1. Inspect valve seats for damage or wear. If valve seat rework is necessary, use 2 cutters to obtain required angles. On intake and exhaust valves, the first cut should be 15 degrees. The second cut should be 45 degrees to obtain correct seat angle.
  2. After cutting valve seats to correct angles, valve seat should be lapped in 2 steps. Use a course compound in the first step and a fine compound in the second step.
