Section 15 (1.0L 3-CYL - VIN [5] & 1.0L 3-CYL Turbo - VIN [2]): Overhaul: Crankshaft: Removal

  1. With engine removed from vehicle, remove alternator belt, water pump pulley, crankshaft pulley, timing belt cover, timing belt and distributor cap. Loosen rocker arms. Remove crankshaft timing sprocket. Remove alternator adjusting bracket.
  2. Remove oil pan, oil pump, clutch assembly and rear main seal housing. Remove oil pump pick-up screen. Mark connecting rods and remove rod caps. Remove main bearing caps and crankshaft from cylinder block.
