Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

Fig. 5 Exhaust Manifold:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect oxygen sensor.
3. Remove air pipe with bracket and air cleaner outlet hose.
4. Remove exhaust manifold upper and lower covers, Fig. 5.
5. Remove remaining nut, bolt and exhaust manifold support.
6. Disconnect exhaust center pipe nuts.
7. Remove exhaust manifold and gasket from cylinder head.
8. Reverse procedure to install, aligning new gasket before torquing nut and bolts to specifications.
