Metro & Tracker

  1. With engine off, pump brake pedal until all vacuum is exhausted from power brake unit. Push brake pedal with a force of 66 lbs. (30 kg). Measure distance between brake pedal face and floor. Distance must not be less than 3.35" (85 mm) on Metro and 5.12" (130 mm) on Tracker.
  2. If distance is less than specified, check for air in lines, worn rear shoes, defective rear brake self-adjusters or improper brake pedal push rod adjustment. See PEDAL HEIGHT adjustment.
