  1. Using pulling power of 44-55 lbs. (20-25 kg) on Metro and Tracker or 66 lbs. (30 kg) on Spectrum, pull parking brake lever fully up and count number of notches lever travels. Adjustment is okay if lever clicks between 3-8 notches on Metro, 4-7 notches on Prizm and 7-9 notches on Spectrum and Tracker. If not okay, check for worn rear shoes or seized rear self-adjusters.
  2. To adjust parking brake, adjust cable adjusting nut on Metro, Prizm and Tracker or turnbuckle on Spectrum as necessary to obtain the correct number of clicks at parking brake lever. After adjustment, check for brake drag with parking brake off.
