Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal from the trunk room.
  2. Remove the rear-left wheel & tire.

    (Refer to Suspension System - "TIRES/WHEELS ")

  3. Remove the rear-left wheel guard.

    (Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "REAR WHEEL GUARD ")

  4. Disconnect the canister close valve extension connector (A).
  5. Disconnect the vapor hose quick-connector (B).
  6. Disconnect the vent hose quick-connector (C).

  7. Remove the canister assembly after loosening the nuts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb.ft)

  8. Disconnect the vapor hose quick-connector (B) after loosening the bolt (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb.ft)

  9. Disconnect the canister close valve connector (A).

  10. Remove the fuel tank air filter bracket (A) after loosening the bolts.

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb.ft)

  11. Remove the fuel tank air filter (A) by rotating it 30 degrees.

  12. Remove the canister close valve (A) by rotating it 30 degrees.

  13. Remove the fuel tank air filter (A) by rotating it 30 degrees.
  14. Install in the reverse order of removal.
