Air Conditioning System: Condenser: Replacement

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
Recover the refrigerant with a recovery/recycling/charging station.
(Refer to Air Conditioning System - "REFRIGERANT RECOVERY/RECYCLING/CHARGING/VACUUM ")
Remove the front bumper assembly.
(Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY ")
Remove the active air flap (AAF).
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ACTIVE AIR FLAP ") [G 2.5 T-GDI Specification]

(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ACTIVE AIR FLAP (AAF) ") [G 3.5 T-GDI Specification]
Loosen the mounting nuts and separate the liquid line (A).
Tightening torque:

7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb - ft)

NOTE:
- Plug or cap the lines immediately after disconnecting them to avoid moisture and dust contamination.
Remove the air guard (A).

Press the lock pin and remove the condenser assembly (A) from radiator assembly.

Install in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
- If you're installing a new condenser, add refrigerant oil.
- Replace the O-rings with new ones at each fitting, and apply a thin coat of refrigerant oil before installing them.
- Be careful not to damage the radiator and condenser fins when installing the condenser.
- Charge the system, and test its performance.
