RH Cylinder Head Cover

- Disconnect the battery negative terminal from the trunk room.
- Remove the engine cover.
(Refer to Engine and Transmission Assembly - "ENGINE COVER ")
- Remove the RH air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "AIR CLEANER ")
- Disconnect the RCV hose (A), and then remove the air intake hose (B).
- Disconnect the engine wiring connectors and harness clamps around the RH cylinder head cover. Then, remove the connector brackets and wiring protector.
Tightening torque:
6.9 - 9.8 N.m (0.7 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.1 - 7.2 lb-ft)
- Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose (A).
- Remove the RH ignition coils.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "IGNITION COIL ")
- Remove the RH GDI injector.
(Refer to Engine Control/Fuel System - "INJECTOR ")
- Remove the RH cylinder head cover (A).NOTE:
- After removing the RH cylinder head cover, be sure to cover the top side of the cylinder head with a clean towel or vinyl cover to prevent foreign matters from entering.
NOTE:- Unfasten the cylinder head cover bolts in the sequence shown.
