RH CVVT & Camshaft

  1. Remove the RH cylinder head cover.

    (Refer to Cylinder Head Assembly - "CYLINDER HEAD COVER ")

  2. Remove the RH timing chain.

    (Refer to Timing System - "TIMING CHAIN ")

  3. Remove the RH intake CVVT assembly (A) and exhaust CVVT assembly (B).

    NOTE:
    • Use care to keep foreign material out of the intake and exhaust OCV & center bolt.
    • When removing the intake and exhaust OCV & Center bolt, hold the camshaft with a wrench to prevent the camshaft from rotating.

  4. Remove the RH camshaft front bearing cap (A) and camshaft bearing cap (B).

  5. Remove the high pressure fuel pump.

    (Refer to Engine Control/Fuel System - "HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP ")

  6. Remove the high pressure fuel pump bracket (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    18.6 - 22.6 N.m (1.9 - 2.3 kgf.m, 13.7 - 16.6 lb-ft)

    NOTE:
    • Always use new high pressure fuel pump bracket O-ring (A).

  7. Remove the RH intake camshaft (A) and RH exhaust camshaft (B).
