Upper oil pan
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Install the upper oil pan.
- Before assembling the upper oil pan, remove the hardening sealant, foreign material, oil, dust, moisture remaining on the sealing surface and on the mating part.
- Assemble the upper oil pan within 5 minutes after applying sealant.
Bead width : 2.5 - 3.5 mm (0.09843 - 0.13780 in.)
Sealant : MS721-40 AA or AAO

NOTE:- When applying sealant, sealant must not be protruded into the inside of upper oil pan.
- When applying sealant on the lower crankcase, the sealant application line should be same with that of the upper oil pan.
- Install the upper oil pan (A) and then uniformly tighten the oil pan bolts in several passes.
Tightening torque:
Except washer integrated bolt: 19.6 - 21.6 N.m (2.0 - 2.2 kgf.m, 14.5 - 15.9 lb-ft)
Washer integrated bolt: 9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)

NOTE:- After assembling the upper oil pan, fill engine oil after at least 30 minutes have elapsed.
- Install the other parts reverse order of removal.
- Fill the engine oil.

- Start engine and check for leaks.
- Recheck engine oil level.
