Lower oil pan

- Install the oil strainer (A).
Tightening torque:
9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb.ft)

NOTE:- Always use new oil strainer O-ring (A).
- Install the lower oil pan.
- Before assembling the lower oil pan, remove the hardening sealant, foreign material, oil, dust, moisture remaining on the sealing surface and on the mating part.
- Assemble the lower oil pan within 5 minutes after applying sealant.
Bead width : 2.5 - 3.5 mm (0.09843 - 0.13780 in.)
Sealant : MS721-40 AA or AAO

NOTE:- When applying sealant, sealant must not be protruded into the inside of lower oil pan.
- When applying sealant on the upper oil pan, the sealant application line should be same with that of the lower oil pan.
- Install the lower oil pan (A) and then uniformly tighten the oil pan bolts in several passes.
Tightening torque:
11.8 - 13.7 N.m (1.2 - 1.4 kgf.m, 8.7 - 10.1 lb.ft)

NOTE:- After assembling the lower oil pan, fill engine oil after at least 30 minutes have elapsed.
- Fill the engine oil.

- Install the engine room under cover.
(Refer to Engine and Transmission Assembly - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")
- Start engine and check for leaks.
- Recheck engine oil level.
