Removal And Installation

- Disconnect the battery negative terminal from the trunk room.
- Remove the water cooled intercooler.
(Refer to Cooling System - "WATER COOLED INTERCOOLER ")
- Remove the water hose (A).
- To release the tensioner, rotate the tensioner arm by turning the tensioner arm boss (A) counterclockwise using a wrench.
- Remove the drive belt (A).
- Install in the reverse order of removal.NOTE:
- When install the drive belt, install the drive belt that the part number marked on the top of the drive belt and letters of the specification information are visible.
Information
- Install the drive belt in the following order: Crankshaft damper pulley → A/C compressor pulley → drive belt tensioner pulley → water pump pulley → idler pulley → alternator pulley. Rotate the drive belt tensioner arm by turning the drive belt tensioner arm boss (A) counterclockwise using a wrench. After installing the drive belt to the drive belt tensioner pulley, slowly release the drive belt tensioner arm.
