RH turbocharger & exhaust manifold

Remove the engine and transmission assembly.
(Refer to Engine and Transmission Assembly - "ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY ")
Disconnect the engine wiring connectors and harness clamps around the LH turbocharger & exhaust manifold. Then, remove the connector brackets and wiring protector.
Tightening torque:

6.9 - 9.8 N.m (0.7 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.1 - 7.2 lb-ft)

Remove the RH warm-up catalytic converter (WCC) clamp (A).
Tightening torque:

13.5 - 16.5 N.m (1.38 - 1.68 kgf.m, 10.0 - 12.2 lb.ft)

NOTE:
- When assembling the clamp, first visually check that the insertion guide is (well) seated on the turbocharger and then tighten the clamp.
Remove the RH warm-up catalytic converter (WCC) mounting nut (A).
Tightening torque:

35.3 - 41.2 N.m (3.6 - 4.2 kgf.m, 26.0 - 30.4 lb.ft)

Remove the RH warm-up catalytic converter (WCC) (A).

Disconnect the RCV hose (A), and then remove the air intake hose (B).

Remove the RH intercooler inlet pipe (A).

Disconnect the turbocharger water hoses (A).

Remove the RH turbocharger heat protector (A).
Tightening torque:

Nuts: 49.0 - 53.9 N.m (5.0 - 5.5 kgf.m, 36.2 - 39.8 lb.ft)

bolt: 9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb.ft)

Remove the RH turbocharger oil feed pipe (A).
Tightening torque:

Oil feed pipe bolt: 9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb.ft)

Oil feed pipe bracket bolt: 9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb.ft)

Eye bolt: 17.7 - 21.6 N.m (1.8 - 2.2 kgf.m, 13.0 - 15.9 lb.ft)

- When installing the oil feed pipe, install the new copper washer is assembled.
- When installing the oil feed pipe, make sure to check whether the new copper washer is assembled.
Disconnect the RH turbocharger water hoses (A).

Remove the RH turbocharger water inlet pipe (A).
Tightening torque:

Pipe bracket bolt: 9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb.ft)

Eye bolt: 33.3 - 39.2 N.m (3.4 - 4.0 kgf.m, 24.6 - 28.9 lb.ft)

NOTE:
- When installing the water inlet pipe, install the new copper washer is assembled.
- When installing the water inlet pipe, make sure to check whether the new copper washer is assembled.
Remove the RH turbocharger oil drain pipe mounting bolts (A).
Tightening torque:

9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb.ft)

Remove the RH turbocharger & exhaust manifold (A).

- Do not reuse the RH turbocharger & exhaust manifold gasket.
Remove the RH turbocharger oil drain pipe (A).
Tightening torque:

9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb.ft)

Remove the RH turbocharger water outlet pipe (A).
Tightening torque:

Pipe bracket bolt: 9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb.ft)

Eye bolt: 33.3 - 39.2 N.m (3.4 - 4.0 kgf.m, 24.6 - 28.9 lb.ft)

- When installing the water outlet pipe, install the new copper washer is assembled.
- When installing the water outlet pipe, make sure to check whether the new copper washer is assembled.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE:

When installing the RH turbocharger & exhaust manifold, align the turbocharger mounting part (A) with the cylinder head mounting part (B).

If the oil feed pipe is damaged, engine oil is not supplied sufficiently to the turbocharger then it may damage the turbocharger. Be care full the oil feed pipe not to damage. (bent, crushed, torn or cracked).
