Removal And Installation

- Remove the surge tank.
(Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "SURGE TANK ")
- Remove the integrated thermal management module (ITM).
(Refer to Cooling System - "INTEGRATED THERMAL MANAGEMENT MODULE (ITM) ")
- Remove the water cooled intercooler.
(Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "WATER COOLED INTERCOOLER ")
- Remove the drive belt.
(Refer to Drive Belt System - "DRIVE BELT ")
- Remove the water pump pulley (A).
Tightening torque:
7.8 - 9.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.7 - 7.2 lb.ft)
- Remove the water pump (A) with the gasket.
Tightening torque:
M8 bolts: 18.6 - 21.6 N.m (1.9 - 2.2 kgf.m, 13.7 - 15.9 lb.ft)
M6 bolts: 9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 Ib.ft)
NOTE:- Always use new water pump gasket (A).
- Remove the water pump housing (A) with the gasket.NOTE:
- Always use new water pump housing gasket (A).
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Fill the engine coolant.
(Refer to Cooling System - "COOLANT ")
NOTE:- The engine coolant must be injected according to the integrated thermal management module (ITM) coolant filling method.
- Fill the water cooled intercooler coolant.
(Refer to Cooling System - "WATER COOLED INTERCOOLER COOLANT ")
NOTE:- The water cooled intercooler coolant must be injected according to the electric water pump (EWP) coolant filling method.
- Recheck coolant level.
