Removal And Installation: Removal

- Release the residual pressure in fuel line.
(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "RELEASE RESIDUAL PRESSURE IN FUEL LINE ")
- Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.
(Refer to Body - REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY ")
- Remove the seat folding cable bracket (A).
- Remove the fuel pump service cover (A) after loosening the mounting screws.
- Disconnect the fuel pump connector (A).
- Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor connector (B).
- Disconnect the fuel tank pressure sensor connector (C).
- Disconnect the fuel feed tube quick-connector (A).
- Remove the propeller shaft assembly.
(Refer to Driveshaft and Axle - "PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY ")
- Remove the center muffler assembly.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "MUFFLER ")
- Disconnect the fuel filler hose (A).
- Disconnect the vapor hose quick-connector (A).
- Support the fuel tank with jack (A).NOTE:
- Put a rubber block between the fuel tank and the jack to prevent damage to the fuel tank.
- Remove the fuel tank band (A) after loosening the mounting bolts and nuts.
- Remove the fuel tank installation bolts (B) and then remove the fuel tank.
Tightening torque :
39.2 - 54.0 N.m (4.0 - 5.5 kgf.m, 28.9 - 39.8 lb-ft)
NOTE:- When removing the fuel tank, be careful the damage to the ventilation quick-connector.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
