[Fuel Pump Motor]

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the fuel pump assembly.

    (Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ")

  3. Connect the fuel pump connector.
  4. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  5. Under no load state, turn the ignition switch ON or crank an engine to operate the fuel pump.
    CAUTION:
    • Cranking for a long time may cause the failure of the fuel pump due to overheat as engine is no load state. Thus, cranking should be performed within 3 seconds.
    • Fuel may spread to the vehicle side due to residual fuel when operating the fuel pump. So, make sure that the fuel feed line nipple faces the fuel tank.
