Low Pressure Fuel Line [High Pressure Fuel Pump ↔ Engine Room]

- Release the residual pressure in fuel line.
(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "RELEASE RESIDUAL PRESSURE IN FUEL LINE ")
- Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the engine cover.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE COVER ")
- Remove the air cleaner.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")
- Disconnect the GDI injector connector (A) and then remove the wiring clip (B).
- After loosening the mounting bolts, then remove the high pressure fuel pump cover and form (A).
Tightening torque:
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)
- Disconnect the fuel feed line quick-connector (A). [Engine Room ↔ Fuel Tank]
- Disconnect the low pressure fuel line quick-connector (A) and then remove the mounting bolt (B). [High Pressure Fuel Pump ↔ Engine Room]
Tightening torque:
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)
NOTE: - Remove the surge tank.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "SURGE TANK ")
- Remove the low pressure fuel line (A) after loosening the mounting bolt and nut.
Tightening torque:
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)
