High Pressure Fuel Pump: Installation

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
  • Unscrew in turns the two bolts in small steps (0.5 turns). When one of the two bolts is fully unscrewed while the other bolt (A) still intact, the housing surface of the cylinder head may be broken due to tension of the pump spring.

NOTE:
  • Be sure to check the low pressure fuel hose quick-connector (A) is completely connected to the high pressure fuel pump until a confirmation 'click' sound is heard.

  • Be sure to re-check the low pressure fuel hose is completely connected to the high pressure fuel pump by pulling it after connecting.
  • Install the clamp cover (B) to tighten the quick-connector completely.

  • Use the SST (09314-L110) and spanner torque wrench (27 mm) to install the high pressure fuel pipe flange nut (A).

  • Do not reuse the high pressure fuel pipe.
  • Be careful not to transform the shape of the high pressure fuel pipe.
  • Torque wrench should not be tilt when you tighten the nut.
  • Follow the order and the tightening torque when you assemble.
  • Inspect fuel leakage after high pressure fuel pipe assembly.
