[Fuel Pump Motor]
- Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the fuel pump assembly.
Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ")
- Connect the fuel pump connector.
- Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Under no load state, turn the ignition switch ON or crank an engine to operate the fuel pump.
CAUTION:
- Cranking for a long time may cause the failure of the fuel pump due to overheat as engine is no load state. Thus, cranking should be performed within 3 seconds.
- Fuel may spread to the vehicle side due to residual fuel when operating the fuel pump. So, make sure that the fuel feed line nipple faces the fuel tank.
