High Pressure Delivery Pipe

  1. Release the residual pressure in fuel line.

    Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "RELEASE RESIDUAL PRESSURE IN FUEL LINE ")

  2. Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  3. Remove the air cleaner.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  4. Remove the intake manifold.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "INTAKE MANIFOLD ")

  5. Remove the injector foam (A).

  6. Disconnect the ignition coil connector (A).
  7. Remove the ignition foam (B).

  8. Remove the high pressure fuel pipe bracket mounting bolts (A) and flange nut (B).

    Tightening torque 

    A: 9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

    B: 29.4 - 35.3 N.m (3.0 - 3.6 kgf.m, 21.7 - 26.0 lb-ft)

  9. Remove the high pressure fuel pipe flange nut (A).
  10. Remove the delivery pipe & injector assembly after loosening the mounting bolts (B).

    Tightening torque 

    A: 29.4 - 35.3 N.m (3.0 - 3.6 kgf.m, 21.7 - 26.0 lb-ft)

    B: 18.7 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.8 - 17.3 lb.ft)

  11. Disconnect the injector & rail pressure sensor connectors (A).

  12. Remove injector from the delivery pipe (A) by opening the fixing clip on either side.
