Water Pump Cover

Remove the exhaust manifold.
(Refer to the Intake And Exhaust System - "EXHAUST MANIFOLD ")
Remove the water pump
Disconnect the radiator lower hose (A).

Remove the water inlet fitting (A).
Tightening torque: 18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb-ft)

Remove the O-ring (A) and thermostat (B).

NOTE:
- Install the thermostat jiggle valve facing upwards.

Remove the heater & bypass hose and pipe (A).
Tightening torque: 9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)

Remove the water pump cover (A) with gasket.
Tightening torque: 18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb-ft)

Install in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
- Always use the new gasket.
Fill engine coolant.
(Refer to the Cooling System - "COOLANT ")
Check the coolant leakage by starting up the engine.
Recheck the coolant level.
