Rear Brake Disc Thickness Check
- Remove the rear wheel & tire.
(Refer to Suspension System - "WHEEL ")
- Check the brake disc for damage and cracks.
- Remove all rust and contamination from the surface, and measure the disc thickness at 24 points, at least, of same distance 5 mm (0.20 in) from the brake disc outer circle.
Rear brake disc thickness
- 17 inch Standard: 12.0 mm (0.47 in)
- 17 inch Service limit: 10.0 mm (0.39 in)
- 18 inch Standard: 20.0 mm (0.79 in)
- 18 inch Service limit: 18.0 mm (0.71 in)
- Deviation: Less than 0.015 mm (0.0002 in) (Circumferential direction), 0.015 mm (0.0004 in) (Radial)
- If wear exceeds the limit, replace the discs and pad assembly left and right of the vehicle.
- Install the rear wheel & tire.
