Front Brake Disc Thickness Check
- Remove the front wheel & tire.
(Refer to Suspension System - "WHEEL ")
- Check the brake disc for damage and cracks.
- Remove all rust and contamination from the surface, and measure the disc thickness at 24 points, at least, of same distance 5 mm (0.20 in) from the brake disc outer circle.
Front brake disc thickness
- Mando 18 inch Standard: 30 mm (1.18 in)
- Mando 18 inch Service limit: 28.4 mm (1.12 in)
- Continental 19 inch Standard: 34.0 mm (1.34 in)
- Continental 19 inch Service limit: 31.6 mm (1.24 in)
- Deviation: Less than 0.015 mm (0.0002 in) (Circumferential direction), 0.015 mm (0.0004 in) (Radial)
- If wear exceeds the limit, replace the discs and pad assembly left and right of the vehicle.
- Install the front wheel & tire.
