Rear Door Latch: Replacement

CAUTION:

When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.

NOTE:

Remove the rear door module.
Refer to Rear Door - "REAR DOOR MODULE ")
Remove the rear door inside handle cage (A).

Remove the rear door inside handle cable (A) by pushing it in the direction of the arrow.

Separate the rear door outside handle base connector and wiring harness (A).

Remove the rear door latch (A).

Press the lock pin, remove the rear door outside handle base bracket (A).

Separate the rear door latch cable (A).

To install, reverse removal procedure.
Information
- Make sure the connector is connected properly.
- Make sure the door locks/unlocks and opens/closes properly.
- Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
