System Description
- FCA: Forward Collision-avoidance Assist
- Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist is a driving safety function which warns collision risk to driver and controls braking assistance to avoid collision with front obstacles while driving.
- Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist uses the front camera to recognize the relative position/relative speed of the front obstacle (vehicle/pedestrian). If a collision with front obstacle is expected, a visual/audible warning is given to the driver and braking assistance will perform to avoid the collision.
- SCC: Smart Cruise Control
It automatically adjusts set speed or controls the acceleration/deceleration to automatically maintain the distance from the front vehicle by recognizing the front vehicle with the front camera/radar. The operating status of the function is displayed to the driver through UX."
- NSCC: Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control
- Safety zone/Safe zone
During SCC control, it controls the vehicle by receiving the speed limit information (forward speed camera information) through the navigation. Vehicle control is performed when limit speed is lower than the set speed and the vehicle speed and it accelerates to the set speed again after passing through the safety zone. This function can only be operated on main roads and the control operates differently depending on the speed enforcement method (fixed type, fixed with movable type, speed trap area, driver setting).
- Curve line
During SCC control, deceleration control is performed to drive the curved road at the optimal safe speed corresponding to the front road curvature received through the navigation. Vehicle control is performed when there is a curvature that needs to be decelerated within the distance of interest and the safe speed for the curvature is lower than the set speed and the vehicle speed. And after passing through the curved zone, it accelerates to the set speed again. This function can only be operated on main roads.

- HDA: Highway Driving Assist
Highway Driving Assist is a function that helps the driver to maintain distance from the vehicle ahead and the driver's set speed and keep the vehicle to run between lanes on an operable road by recognizing the front vehicle/lane.
