Steering Column Shroud Lower Panel
CAUTION:
- When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
- Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
- Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Remove the steering column shroud upper panel.
- Remove the crash pad side cover [LH] (A).
- Remove the front door scuff trim (A).
- After loosening the hood release hinge (A) mounting bolts, remove the hood release assembly (B).
- Remove the cowl side trim (A).
- Loosen the mounting screws, remove the crash pad lower panel (A).
- Press the lock pin and separate the crash pad lower panel connector (A).
- Press the lock pin and separate the diagnosis connector (A).
- Loosen the mounting screws by turning the steering wheel to the left and right, and remove the steering column shroud lower panel (A).
- Press the lock pin and separate the connector (A).
- To install, reverse removal procedure.
Information
- Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
- Make sure the connector are connected in properly.
