Removal and Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION:
  • Be careful not to damage the parts located under the vehicle (floor under cover, fuel filter, fuel tank and canister) when raising the vehicle using the lift.

    (Refer to General Information - "LIFT AND SUPPORT POINTS ")

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
  2. Drain the water cooled intercooler coolant.

    (Refer to Cooling System - "WATER COOLED INTERCOOLER COOLANT REPLACEMENT AND AIR BLEEDING ")

  3. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

    (Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  4. Remove the intercooler outlet hose (A).

    Information 

    • When disconnecting the intercooler hose, pull the quick connector clamp (A) in the direction of the arrow, as shown in the below illustration.

  5. Remove the RCV hose (A).

  6. Disconnect the intercooler inlet hose (A).

  7. Disconnect the EWP water hose (A).

  8. Disconnect the EWP connector (A).

  9. Disconnect the RCV solenoid connector (A) and hose (B).

  10. Remove the water cooled intercooler assembly (A).

  11. Remove the EWP mounting bracket (A) and then Disconnect the water hose (B).

  12. Remove the EWP mounting bracket (A).

  13. Remove the RCV (A).

  14. Install in the reverse order of removal
