Removal and Installation
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION:
- Be careful not to damage the parts located under the vehicle (floor under cover, fuel filter, fuel tank and canister) when raising the vehicle using the lift.
(Refer to General Information - "LIFT AND SUPPORT POINTS ")
NOTE:
- Disassembly of the thermostat would have an adverse effect, causing a lowering of cooling efficiency.
CAUTION:
- Remove the engine cover on room temperature.
- Do not disengage both front and rear mounting point at the same time.
- Drain engine coolant by loosening the drain plug.
(Refer to the Cooling System - "COOLANT ")
- Disconnect the radiator lower hose (A).
- Remove the water inlet fitting (A), O-ring (B) and thermostat (C).
Tightening torque:
18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb-ft)
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Fill the radiator with water through the radiator cap and tighten the cap.
(Refer to Cooling System - "COOLANT ")
- Start the engine and check for leaks.
