Removal and Installation

- Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
- Remove the engine room cover (A).
- Disconnect the water cooled intercooler outlet hose and drain the water cooled intercooler coolant.
(Refer to Cooling System - "COOLANT ")
- Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "AIR CLEANER ")
- Disconnect the electric water pump connector (A).
- Disconnect the electric water pump inlet hose (A) and outlet hose (B).
- Remove the electric water pump mounting bracket (A) and then remove the electric water pump (B).
Tightening torque:
7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb-ft)
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Fill the water cooled intercooler coolant
(Refer to the Cooling System - "COOLANT ")
NOTE:- Be sure to fill coolant following the EWP coolant filling method.
- Recheck the coolant level.
