Removal & Installation
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the alternator
(Refer to Charging System - "ALTERNATOR ")
- Disconnect the starter connector (A) and then remove the starter "B" terminal mounting nut (B).
Tightening torque:
9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb.ft)
- Remove the engine room under cover.
(Refer to Engine And Transmission Assembly - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")
- Loosen the starter mounting bolts and then remove the starter (A).
Tightening torque:
49.0 - 63.7 N.m (5.0 - 6.5 kgf.m, 36.2 - 47.0 lb.ft)
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
