Detecting Condition |
Possible Cause |
| DTC Strategy |
Case 1 |
- Fuel Rail/System pressure low during catalyst heating
|
- Poor connector connection
- Clogged fuel filter
- Restricted fuel supply line
- Fuel leakage
- Faulty fuel pressure regulator
- Faulty fuel rail pressure sensor
- Faulty ECM
|
| Case 2 |
- Fuel Rail/System pressure high during catalyst heating
|
| Enable Conditions |
- Catalyst heating active
- Engine coolant temperature (ECT) at engine start at between -10°C (14°F) to 43°C (109°F)
- Vehicle speed is lower than 60 km/h (37.2 mph)
- Accelerator pedal value is lower than 0.01% (pedal sensor 1 voltage 0.859V, not pushed at all)
- Volume fuel flow is lower than Threshold Value
- Mass fuel flow is higher than 4mg/stroke
- Engine speed is higher than 512 RPM
|
| Threshold Value |
Case 1 |
- Deviation of fuel pressure setpoint higher than 1.5MPa (15bar/217.5 psi)
|
| Case 2 |
- Deviation of fuel pressure setpoint lower than -1.5MPa (-15bar/-217.5 psi)
