DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitoring Fuel Tank Pressure Trend after Evacuation
  1. Leakage in each hose/fuel filler pipe
  2. Leakage in CCV/Canister/Fuel tank/Fuel Filler Cap
Enable Conditions
  • Coolant temperature is higher than 40°C (104°F)
  • Ambient Air Temperature (AAT) is higher than -8.25°C (17.15°F)
  • Vehicle speed is slower than 12 km/h (7.5 mph)
  • Fuel level is between 5% and 85%
  • Time after engine starts has passed 100 seconds
  • Barometric pressure (BARO) is greater than 75 kPa
  • Canister load is less than 0.35
  • Minimum canister purge time is greater than 3 seconds in case of canister load is less than 0.1
  • Minimum canister purge time is greater than 25 seconds in case of canister load is greater or equal to 0.1
  • Engine speed is lower than 1500~1650 RPM
  • Gas pedal value is lower than 0.01%. (Pedal is not pushed at all)
  • Differential fuel tank pressure is between -1100Pa and 400Pa
  • Time since last EVAP monitoring test abortion is longer than 60 seconds
  • Barometric pressure gradient is less than -2.0 kPa during uphill driving within 5 minutes
  • Time elapse in case of refueling identification is greater than 600 seconds
  • Battery voltage is greater than 10V
  • Fuel level signal variation is less than 6~8% during waiting and leakage check period
Threshold Value
  • Leak diameter is between 0.4 mm (0.015 in) and 0.8 mm (0.03 in)
Diagnosis Time
  • 30 seconds
MIL On Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
