Monitor GDS Data
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
- Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" button, Press "DTC Status" to check DTC's information from the DTCs menu.
- Read "DTC Status" parameter.
- Record all DTC's, DTC status and freeze frame data. Does DTC Status indicate "Present"?NOTE:
- History (Not Present) fault: DTC occurred but has been cleared.
- Present fault: DTC is occurring at present time.
YES
- Go to next procedure.
NO
- Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or ECM's connector or was repaired and ECM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, ending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
- Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- IG "ON". Check if any other "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) " are set. (There will be at least one more DTC which causes this DTC P2104 to set)
- Repair the other DTCs first that caused DTC P2104 to set. Review the appropriate trouble shooting guide. After repairing the DTCs that caused DTC P2104, Do "Procedure of ETC Initialization".
- Is the same DTC occurred?
YES
- Substitute with a known - good ECM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace ECM and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
Procedure of ETS Initialization
- Erase the trouble codes in ECM
- Turn the ignition key "OFF" until the main relay turns "OFF". (It will take about 10 sec.)
- Turn ignition key "ON" for more than 1 second to record the throttle motor position in the EEPROM
