Check short to battery in harness

- IG "OFF" and disconnect Instrument cluster connector, Fuel Sender A & Fuel Pump Motor connector, and Fuel Sub Sender connector.
- IG "ON".
- Measure voltage between total signal terminal of Fuel Sub Sender harness connector and chassis ground.
- Measure voltage between middle signal terminal of Fuel Sender A & Fuel Pump Motor harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Approx. 0V
- Is the measured voltage within specification?
YES
- Go to "GROUND CIRCUIT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- Repair short to battery in harness and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
