Short to ground check

IG "OFF". Disconnect FECM, fuel pressure sensor connector.
Measure the resistance between power terminal of fuel pressure sensor harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Infinite
- Fault is intermittent. go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
Is the measured resistance within specification?
YES
- Substitute with a known - good FECM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace FECM and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Repair short in harness. go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
