DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
Case 1 DTC Strategy
  • Missing signal check
  1. Open or short in signal, ground or power supply circuit
  2. Poor connection or damaged harness
  3. Misadjust crankshaft and camshaft pulley position
  4. Faulty CMPS #2 (exhaust)
Enable Conditions
  • First Crankshaft long teeth is passed
Threshold value
  • No camshaft edge detected within two revolutions
Diagnosis Time
  • 2 revs.
Case 2 DTC Strategy
  • Out of range
Enable Conditions
  • First Crankshaft long teeth is passed
Threshold value
  • Camshaft edge is out of range for more than 6 revolutions
Diagnosis Time
  • 6 rev.
MIL On Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
