DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
Case 1 DTC Strategy
  • Signal Plausibility (tooth number check)
  1. Poor connection
  2. Noise
  3. Short in harness
  4. Target wheel
  5. ECM
Enable Conditions
  • Engine is synchronized
  • Engine Speed is greater than 512 RPM
Threshold Value
  • Number of missing/additional teeth after long tooth is greater than or equal to 1
Diagnosis Time
  • 5 revs.
Case 2 DTC Strategy
  • Signal Plausibility (Loss of synchronization)
Enable Conditions
  • Engine is synchronized
Threshold Value
  • Number of missing/additional teeth before long tooth is greater than or equal to 2
Diagnosis Time
  • 3 revs.
MIL On Condition
  • 2 Drive Cycles
