DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Voltage range check
  1. Faulty cooling system
  2. Faulty ECT sensor
  3. Poor connection or damaged harness
Enable Conditions
  • Coolant temp. at start is less than 5°C (50°F)
  • Minimum time (0°C (32°F): approx.50 sec, 8°C (46.4°F): approx.100 sec.
  • 20°C (68°F): 200 sec., 36°C (96.8°F): 300 sec.) after start versus coolant temperature at Start
  • No relevant failure
  • Battery voltage between 11V and 16V
Threshold Value
  • Coolant temperature signal is less than 5.25°C (41.4°F)
Diagnosis Time
  • Immediate
MIL On Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
