DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Voltage range check
  1. Poor connection
  2. Open or short to battery in signal harness
  3. Open in ground harness
  4. TPS
  5. ECM
Case 1 Enable Condition
  • Ignition switch is "ON" condition
Threshold Value
  • The voltage of TPS 1 is greater than 4.9V
  • Short circuit to battery or open circuit
Case 2 Enable Condition
  • Ignition switch "ON" condition
  • Engine operating state (idle)
    • Gas pedal value is lower than 0.01%
  • TPS set point is less than 21.8%
  • TPS 1 and TPS 2 ratio failure is detected or TPS 2 failure is detected
Threshold Value
  • The voltage of TPS 1 at engine idle is greater than 3.0V
  • Short circuit to battery or open circuit
Diagnosis Time
  • Continuous
MIL On Condition
  • 1 driving cycle
