Check short to ground in harness

  1. Turn off the ignition switch. Disconnect TPS and ECM connector.
  2. Turn on the ignition switch.
  3. Measure resistance between TPS1 signal terminal of ETC Motor & TPS harness connector and chassis ground. (Measurement "A")
  4. Measure resistance between TPS1 signal and TPS ground terminals of ETC Motor & TPS harness connector. (Measurement "B")

    Specification:  Infinite

  5. Is the measured resistance within specification?

    YES 

    NO
