DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Voltage range check
  1. Poor connection
  2. Open or short to battery in signal harness
  3. Open in ground harness
  4. ECTS
  5. ECM
Enable Conditions
  • Battery voltage is between 6V and 16V
  • Intake Air Temperature (IAT) is greater than -30°C (-22°F)
  • If IAT is lower than -30°C (-22°F) then the time after engine start is more than 60 seconds
Threshold Value
  • Engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor's voltage is greater than 4.935V
  • ECT sensor's voltage represents open or short to battery
Diagnosis Time
  • Continuous
MIL On Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
