DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Plausibility check
  1. Waste gate valve position fault
  2. Check EWGA position sensor and motor.
Enable Conditions
  • Battery voltage is between 10V and 16V
  • Engine coolant temperature is greater than -30°C (-22°F)
  • Atmosphere temperature is greater than -30°C (-22°F)
  • Time after engine start is more than 1 seconds
Threshold Value
  • Mean value (the waste gate actuator controller output) is greater than 98%
  • Moving mean value of the waste gate actuator controller output is too high
Diagnostic Time
  • 0.5 seconds
MIL On Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
