DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitor the fuel pressure sensor's signal
  1. Poor Connection
  2. Short to power in signal circuit
  3. Open in ground circuit
  4. Fuel pressure sensor
  5. Fuel pump control module (FECM)
Enable Conditions
  • Target fuel pressure is higher than 250 kPa and lower than 600 kPa.
  • Engine Running
  • Battery voltage is higher than 10V
Threshold Value
  • The fuel pressure sensor voltage is higher than 4.25V
  • Short circuit to battery
Diagnosis Time
  • 2 seconds
MIL On Condition
  • No MIL On (DTC only)
