DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
Case 1 DTC Strategy
  • Intake CVVT Slow Response
  1. Oil leak
  2. Engine oil contamination
  3. Faulty Intake OCV
  4. Intake OCV filter contamination
  5. Faulty CVVT assembly (Intake)
Enable Conditions
  • Time after engine start is greater than 1.6 ~ 5.2 seconds
  • Camshaft set-point movement is greater than 12°CRK within less than 1 second
  • Camshaft set-point is moved more than 3 times since engine start
  • Engine speed is between 512~1504 RPM and 4992 RPM
  • Engine Oil Temperature (EOT) is between 20°C (68°F) and 120°C (248°F)
  • Battery voltage is between 11V and 16V
Threshold Value
  • CAM position movement is less than 4°CRK within 1 second
Case 2 DTC Strategy
  • Intake CVVT Steady deviation
Enable Conditions
  • Time after engine start is greater than 1.6 ~ 5.2 seconds
  • Camshaft set-point is moved more than 3 times since engine start
  • Difference between CAM set-point and actual position is greater than 5.25°CRK
  • Engine speed is between 512~1504 RPM and 4992 RPM
  • Engine Oil Temperature (EOT) is between 20°C (68°F) and 120°C (248°F)
  • Battery voltage is between 11V and 16V
Threshold Value
  • The actual value of Camshaft position is 85°CRK greater than set-point

  • Immediate

  • 2 driving cycles
