DTC P000C-00: 'A' Camshaft Position Slow Response Bank 2: General Description

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

The Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT) system is installed on the chain sprocket of the intake camshaft. This system controls the intake camshaft to provide the optimal valve timing for all driving conditions. The ECM controls the Oil Control Valve (OCV), based on the signals from the throttle position sensor, map and engine coolant temperature sensor. The ECM regulates the intake camshaft angle using oil pressure through the OCV. As result, the relative position between the camshaft and the crankshaft becomes optimal. Engine torque and fuel economy improves with reduced exhaust emissions.
