DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Plausibility check
  1. Clogged air cleaner
  2. Faulty BPS
Case 1 Enable Conditions
  • Engine stops more than 2.6 seconds
  • Engine speed is lower than 32 RPM
  • Barometric pressure (BARO) sensor voltage is between 0.2V and 4.9V
  • Manifold air pressure (MAP) sensor voltage is between 0.2V and 4.8V
  • Pressure up throttle (PUT) sensor voltage is between 0.2V and 4.8V
Threshold Value
  • Barometric pressure (BARO) is out of range (engine stopped)
  • BARO is 15 kPa greater than MAP
  • BARO is 15 kPa greater than PUT
  • PUT is 15 kPa lower than PUT
Case 2 Enable Conditions
  • Engine speed is faster than 32 RPM
Threshold Value
  • Barometric pressure (BARO) is out of range (engine running)
  • BARO (closed throttle) is 15 kPa greater than PUT (closed throttle)
  • PUT (full load) is 20 kPa greater than PUT (closed throttle)
  • PUT (full load) is -35 ~ 10 kPa greater than BARO (full load)

  • 2 seconds
MIL On Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
